Seat will have a 'low-cost' electric. There's just one thing left to know

Several brands are betting on affordable electric vehicles. Citroën, Renault, Dacia, Volkswagen are some of them, which Seat may also join in the near future.
Wayne Griffiths, CEO of Cupra and Seat, confirmed that Seat could produce an electric car with a price around 20,000. The question raised by the CEO is precisely 'when'.
"The question of the 20,000 euro electric car is when Seat should present itself as part of the answer", replied Griffiths, in statements to Autocar.
The CEO of Cupra and Seat also stated that the electrification of Seat will only happen if the production of affordable electric cars "becomes profitable".
However, Wayne Griffiths also made it clear that the focus now is on Cupra, because it is the most profitable brand at the moment. "My priority is profitability", he stressed.
