Millionaire Clients Don't Want Electric Hypercars, Says Rimac
The company's CEO believes that combustion supercars remain the customers' favorites.

The number of buyers for electric hypercars is decreasing. This is according to Mate Rimac, CEO of Rimac, a company that produces 100% electric high-performance sports cars, such as the Rimac Nevera, with 1,914 hp.
"We started developing the Nevera in 2016/2017, when electrification was something that was seen with good eyes", explained Mate Rimac, during the Financial Times' Future of the Car conference in London, England.
"Regulators and some companies are pushing so hard that the narrative has changed. They are giving us stuff that we don't want, and people get a bit sick of it, of all this forced stuff. I think everything has to be merit-based, it should make the product better", he added.
According to the founder and CEO of Rimac, "buyers with a seven-figure sum to spend on a car want more analog technology".
It should be recalled that Rimac expected to sell the 150 units produced of the Nevera, but so far it has only sold around 50.
