Citroën and DS3 with problems. Thousands of vehicles affected in Portugal
Stellantis issued a statement about the problem in the airbags that affects the C3 and the DS3 produced between 2009 and 2019.

Last week, several news items reported that around 600,000 Citroën vehicles had an airbag problem that required repairs at the brand's workshops. The models in question were the C3 and the DS3 produced between 2009 and 2019.
Now, Stellantis, the business group that owns Citroën, issued a statement and revealed that a large number of vehicles are in Portugal.
"In Portugal, the campaign covers around 15,000 cars in circulation – produced between 2009 and 2017 – 2,500 of which have already been repaired, according to the procedure implemented in our country", says Stellantis, which also details the problem in question.
"The vehicles included in this immediate stop action are equipped with Takata airbag inflators, whose chemical properties may deteriorate over time, especially when consistently exposed to hot and humid climatic conditions, such as those found in the recall areas", reads the statement.
Stellantis also states that the repair of this problem takes a maximum of two hours.
