Citroën's secret to getting the electric C3 under 25,000 euros
There are two levels of equipment to facilitate the production process.

The new Citroën C3 costs less than 15,000 euros in some countries and its electric version can also be purchased for less than 25,000 euros. What is the secret used by the French manufacturer to be able to sell a car at a price that makes it one of the most affordable on the market?
According to Thierry Koskas, CEO of Citroën, the brand managed to reduce production costs by 15 to 20 percent and this is largely due to the choice of the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.
"When we look at how to reduce the cost of producing an electric, the first thing we look at is the battery," Koskas told Automotive News Europe. This is because, according to the CEO of Citroën, the battery represents 40% of the vehicle's costs.
Citroën has also greatly simplified the versions of the C3, with only two trim levels and no customization options, except for the choice of paint. "This makes production very simple," said Thierry Koskas.
