There is a small detail in Alfa Romeo that will change forever

We are all used to seeing Alfa Romeo models with the license plate on the side of the front. A design detail that will change... forever. And it has already started with the Alfa Romeo Junior and will continue with the new Stelvio in 2025, as well as with all the other models launched by the brand.
However, this change was not adopted out of free will. According to statements made by Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, Alfa Romeo's design director, to Autocar, the repositioning of the license plate in the center is related to the new EU safety regulations (GSR2). This way, with the license plate in the center, the risk of injury is reduced in the event of a collision with pedestrians.
Be that as it may, although disappointing for some fans of the brand, the truth is that Alfa Romeo's design director did not seem very sad about this new guideline.
"It will allow us to introduce symmetry, no matter what. Which, I confess, will make me happy - I am one of those people who likes the license plate in the middle," he said in statements to Autocar.
