Fazunchar Festival brings dance, sculpture and animation to Figueiró dos Vinhos
Dance, sculpture and animation are new features at the next Fazunchar festival, an event dedicated to urban art that returns to Figueiró dos Vinhos, in the district of Leiria, from August 10 to 18, the municipality announced today.

After five editions, Fazunchar promises to continue to expand the open-air art gallery, built in recent years, taking on a new curatorship this year, which extends the program to new areas.
In addition to mural painting, plastic arts, music or creative residencies, the multidisciplinary festival promoted by the Figueiró dos Vinhos Council will feature dance, in a "Danced Visit" by Inesa Markava, animation, by Sílvia Santos, and sculpture, in the workshop led by the new curator, Ricardo Romero.
In a statement released today, the municipality announces that the new mural paintings will be in charge of the Portuguese Regg Salgado, Mariana Santos, the Spanish Manolo Mesa and the French Fred Battle_Zoerism, in addition to another artist to be announced.
The program also includes the inauguration of the painting exhibition by Martinho Costa, developed in the 2023 edition, and music by Pedro Coquenão, the result of an artistic residency by the artist in Figueiró dos Vinhos, as well as concerts by Mimi Cat and Beatbombers, a project that brings together DJs Ride and Stereossauro.
The festival is completed with guided tours, a route through the parishes, talks with artists and workshops, ending with a community picnic.
