Paulo Fonseca was present this Wednesday at the press conference previewing the duel against Aston Villa, counting for the 'quarterfinals' of the Europa Conference League, after the defeat in England in the first leg (2-1), in a game in which the Portuguese coach stressed that Lille has no margin for error to dispute access to the 'semis' of the competition.

"We will have to score quickly but also not concede goals. It is a dangerous game against a very strong team. We will have to play a balanced game, even though we also have to take risks. There will be no room for error. We must first defend well before attacking," he began by saying.

"I like to see a game with fair decisions. I watch a lot of games. Last week I spoke to a French international referee, I asked him what he thought about blocks in set pieces. He told me that it was a foul, no matter the situation, if you hold a player. It is a foul, whether in the area or not, it may not be easy for the referees to judge, but there is the VAR. It was clear in the last game," he also said, recalling the game in England.

It should be noted that the game is scheduled for 5:45 pm (mainland Portugal time) this Thursday, with Lille obliged to win to fight for qualification, with an eventual advantage of at least two goals, 'settling' the qualification issue.
