Official: Sporting 'ties up' young promise who is inspired by Geny Catamo

Sporting announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Salvador Blopa to sign a professional contract, at a time when he has been one of the highlights of the youth team.
“It is a vote of confidence that the club is placing in me, my work is being recognized and now I want to continue to give more for this emblem that I carry on my chest,” he began by telling the official Sporting channels.
"I really like watching Geny Catamo play at Alvalade and I hope to follow in his footsteps. My dream is to one day be at the José Alvalade Stadium as a player. I will have to fight and work every day", added the 16-year-old footballer.
It should be noted that the young Portuguese forward has been at Sporting since 2017/18, when he left Fontaínhas. This season, he has scored six goals in 24 games for the youth team.
