Paris Saint-Germain is at serious risk of failing to qualify for the Champions League final, after losing 1-0 away to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the semi-finals. Even so, Vitinha managed to 'save himself'.
This Friday, the Spanish newspaper As dedicated an extensive article to the Portuguese international, in which it did not spare him from praise, following a season in which the coach, Luis Enrique, managed to put him in a "new dimension": "The ex-FC Porto player has become a complete midfielder".
"He is able to play as a winger, to free up space for Mbappé, as an inside forward, as a central midfielder or even as a full-back, for moments, to make PSG's ball progression clearer. The tie against Barcelona, in which he scored in both matches, established him as one of the most promising footballers in European football", it can be read.
"Some have dared, in France, to compare Vitinha to Modric, who they say he has an identical condition to, in addition to a brilliant reading of the game", states the publication, which concludes that this "will be one of Portugal's main assets in the next European Championship".
