Official: Benfica 'ties down' young Portuguese international in goal

On Monday, Benfica announced that they have reached an agreement with Leonardo Lopes for the signing of a professional contract, after almost two seasons in the service of the incarnates.
"It's a huge honor to be able to sign for this great club, it's always been a dream since I was little. It's been two years of hard work, I've evolved well and now I want to continue", he began by saying, in statements to BTV.
"I have all the conditions to continue to evolve. Reaching the A team is a goal", added the young Portuguese international.
It should be noted that the 16-year-old goalkeeper has seven caps for Portugal's youth teams, three for the under-15s and, more recently, four for the under-17s. This season, Leonardo Lopes played a total of 24 matches for Benfica's youth team.
