Mbappé leaves the Parc des Princes without tribute: "You don't want to sign..."

Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-3 at home to Toulouse on Monday in what was Kylian Mbappé's last official match at the Parc des Princes after announcing he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Contrary to expectations, the French international (who is reportedly on his way to Real Madrid) did not receive any kind of tribute from the club he has represented for the past seven years. This scenario, however, did not surprise Daniel Riolo, a journalist for French television station RMC Sport.
"Didn't exactly happen as we predicted? Didn't we predict that we would be asking exactly this question? All year long, we've had a battle of egos between a president who has always been overwhelmed, a coach who arrived with an oversized ego, and Mbappé, who is on another planet, on another level," he said.
"All year long, they've been playing 'Who has the biggest ego? Who should be the best? You don't want to sign the contract, I'm a coach who can't stand stars and I'm going to put you in your place'," the renowned reporter continued.
"'I'm the president and I'm going to make sure I support my coach against you, the little star who doesn't want to renew'. In the end, how could you expect it not to end this way?" he concluded.
