Enzo Fernández reveals that he has been playing "for eight months with pain and injections"

Enzo Fernández spoke about the inguinal hernia operation he underwent at the end of the season. The former Benfica player explained that he had been suffering with physical problems for quite some time. Even so, he played 40 games this season, scoring seven goals.
“I was playing with pain and injections for 8 months. I had to make the decision to have surgery. I was harming the team and I didn’t want to expose myself," the Argentine admitted to journalist Christian Martín.
He also spoke about a tournament where he could share a dressing room with Ángel Di María and Nicolás Otamendi. "I am very eager for this Copa América, it will be the first time I have played in it," he said.
