Luís Costa Sixth in the Paracycling World Cup Time Trial
The Portuguese paralympic Luís Costa today was the sixth classified in the individual time trial of class H5 of the Paracycling World Cup, which is taking place in Maniago, Italy, a race postponed on Thursday due to adverse weather conditions.

The concentration of all time trials on a single day forced the distances to be reduced from 18.8 to 9.4 kilometres, with Luís Costa clocking 14.07.82 minutes, finishing 1.35.62 behind the winner, Dutchman Mitch Valize.
In the H4 class time trial, Flávio Pacheco was 21st, completing the 9.4 kilometres in 15.04.09 minutes, 2.46.80 behind the fastest, Dutchman Jetze Plat. In the same race, competing as an individual, Carlos Neves was 28th, 4.01.27 behind the winner.
In the C2 class, Telmo Pinão was 19th, after covering the 9.4 kilometres (half the scheduled distance) in 14.23.77 minutes, 2.05.97 minutes more than the fastest, Belgian Ewoud Vromant.
Competing as individuals, Jorge Pina, with Bruno Rolim as guide, finished 23rd in the B class, and Miguel Pacheco did not finish the race in the C5 class due to a bicycle breakdown, after having set the 13th fastest time at the first checkpoint.
On Saturday, the road races for the H4 and H5 classes will be held, over a total distance of 62.4 kilometres, in which Flávio Pacheco and Luís Costa will participate, respectively.
