PPR payments grow to 4.248 million until Thursday
Payments to direct and final beneficiaries of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) reached 4,248 million euros by Thursday, six million euros more than last week, it was announced.

The growth verified in the last week was the lowest, at least, since the beginning of the year.
Between January and until April 24, the weekly average of the increase in payments was approximately 37.7 million euros.
The value of payments totalled up to Thursday corresponds to 19% of the allocation and of the contracted value, as well as to 24% of the approved value.
Leading are the companies, with 1,626 million euros received up to May 2, followed by the public entities, with 1,003 million euros.
Also standing out are the public companies (458 million euros), the local authorities and metropolitan areas (373 million euros) and the schools (275 million euros).
Below this are the higher education institutions (175 million euros), the families (163 million euros), the institutions of the social and solidarity economy (94 million euros) and the institutions of the scientific and technological system (81 million euros).
In turn, the project approvals are at 17,663 million euros, above the 17,577 verified in the previous week.
With the largest approved amounts are the companies (5,776 million euros), the public entities (4,804 million euros), the public companies (2,731 million euros) and the local authorities and metropolitan areas (2,286 million euros).
Following are the higher education institutions (663 million euros), the institutions of the social and solidarity economy (430 million euros), the schools (429 million euros), the institutions of the scientific and technological system (340 million euros) and, lastly, the families (204 million euros).
Up to May 2, 322,754 applications were submitted to the PRR, 187 more than in the previous week, and 212,460 are being analysed.
168,012 applications have already been approved.
Of the 463 milestones and targets agreed with the European Union, Portugal has already met 102 and three remain under assessment.
The amount transferred by Brussels to Portugal is 7,772 million euros.
On September 22, 2023, the European Commission approved the revision of the PRR of Portugal, which now amounts to 22,200 million euros.
This amendment includes the financial allocation of the European energy programme RepowerEU (704 million euros), as well as that which was not used from the adjustment reserve for 'Brexit' (81 million euros).
The PRR, which has an execution period until 2026, aims to implement a set of reforms and investments with a view to the recovery of economic growth.
In addition to having the objective of repairing the damage caused by covid-19, this plan also has the purpose of supporting investments and generating employment.
