Queen Mary steals the show in one of her mother-in-law's favourite tiaras

Queen Mary shone at a gala dinner that took place on Tuesday, May 14, during her official visit to Norway, which she is making in the company of her husband, King Frederick X.
For the occasion, the monarch wore the Pearl Poire tiara, one of the favourites of her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe.
The piece, in diamonds and pearls, was a wedding gift from King Frederick William III of Prussia to his daughter, Princess Louise, on the occasion of her marriage to Prince Frederick of the Netherlands, in 1825.
As for the look, Mary chose a lavender-coloured dress by Birgit Hallstein.
The sovereign made a point of wearing a brooch with the Order of St. Olav, of which she is a member.
