Britney Spears chased ex-husband with ax during argument
Revelation made by a source close to the singer and Sam Asghari to In Touch magazine.

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's marriage came to an end in August 2023, after celebrating their first anniversary, and it seems that the separation was the only viable way for both of them.
A source close to the former couple told In Touch magazine details about one of the most serious arguments the two had, which in particular led Asghari to decide to leave the house where they both lived.
"The last straw was when Britney chased him with an ax. (...) It was during one of the several intense arguments they had and in which Sam could not calm her down. Sam is not a confrontational person and does not like to argue. This ax incident happened when she stopped taking her medication," the magazine text reads.
"Thinking about a new guardianship makes perfect sense," the same source added.
It is worth remembering that Britney Spears was under the guardianship of her father, Jamie Spears, for 13 years, a decision made after the singer underwent a psychiatric evaluation. Britney regained control of her fortune and made her own decisions independently in November 2021.
