A day of celebration for Catarina Furtado and João Reis.
The former couple's daughter, Beatriz, is celebrating her 18th birthday this Saturday, May 25, a date that her mother did not want to miss on social media, dedicating a loving text to her.
"It's my Poppy's 18th birthday. Adulthood, which for us mothers (and fathers, perhaps) is a date that shakes our hearts once again. Mine shook so much when Beatriz came into my world and to my breast that it never learned the way back.... It really is a 'Before and After'. And now, another brave shake because my eternal baby is already a young woman," the presenter began by writing.
"What luck, what responsibility, what a challenge, what an honor to be the mother of my beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, astute, attentive, friendly, funny Poppy, so full of the values that distinguish the 'good' from the 'bad'," she continued. "Congratulations, my greatest love May you be whatever you want to be, with lots of laughter and overflowing health," she added, also leaving a thank you note to her ex-husband, who is the young woman's father. "Thank you, João Reis".
