Letizia's unexpected choice for the Armed Forces parade

King Felipe VI and Letizia presided over the annual Armed Forces parade this Saturday, May 25, in which around 3,300 military personnel from the three armies and the Civil Guard took part. The parade took place in Asturias, specifically in Oviedo, a very special place for the queen, since it is her hometown.
Felipe and Letizia watched the parade from the Royal Tribune. For this solemn moment, the queen opted for a look with an unexpected detail.
Letizia chose a red suit - one of the colours of Spain - with a blazer and wide-leg trousers, which she combined with a red lace top.
Finally, she surprised everyone by appearing in white tennis shoes, which contrasted with the intense red of the rest of her look.
The choice of footwear may be due to the fact that she broke a toe on her right foot, so on medical advice, she will have to wear comfortable shoes for some time.
