High blood sugar, never again. There is a food that can help reduce the values. You just have to consume it more often. And it's not that complicated, since it's versatile and can be added to dishes or even drinks.

The website EatingWell spoke with two experts. They reveal that ginger is one of the foods you should bet on to lower blood sugar levels.

"Inflammation has been linked to insulin resistance and poor blood sugar control. Therefore, balancing inflammation with spices like ginger can have a beneficial effect on blood sugar," says Kanchan Koya, a molecular biologist and author of the book 'Spice Spice Baby'.

"Some studies indicate that ginger can positively impact blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity, and slow down the digestion of carbohydrates, which leads to a smaller increase in blood sugar after a meal," explains dietitian Colette Micko.

"Many people with prediabetes and diabetes are at high risk for cardiovascular disease, and ginger has also been shown to have a positive impact on cholesterol levels."
