Food can be a key factor in promoting good brain health and preventing cognitive decline. Your brain will thank you for consuming one spice in particular, advise several experts quoted by the 'website' EatingWell. We are talking about turmeric.
"It helps reduce inflammation, improves antioxidant capacity and promotes the growth of new brain cells, contributing to better cognitive function and reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease", reveals dietician Patricia Bannan.

"It reduces cortisol and inflammation, which improves learning and memory", says dietician Maggie Moon. Consuming turmeric is also a good way to "neutralize oxidative stress and inflammation, improve the body's internal antioxidant systems and eliminate harmful proteins", she continues.
She reveals that it should be taken naturally and not in supplements. "It provides a variety of antioxidants that work together to support brain function."
