It is with the help of diet that you can reduce the body's cholesterol levels. It is best to have it under control, all to avoid health problems later on. At home, it is very likely that you have the drink that will make all the difference.
The 'website' EatingWell spoke with dietitians Lisa Andrews and Wan Na Chun to understand the drink that can help in this process. The two mention that tea is a great ally, green tea to be more specific.

"Traditional tea contains antioxidants and offers health benefits, such as cancer prevention and cholesterol reduction," says Lisa Andrews.
"Green tea, along with other types of tea, is a source of various polyphenols. The polyphenols in tea leaves provide antioxidants," explains Wan Na Chun. "It can significantly inhibit the absorption of fats in the intestine, which is beneficial for reducing cholesterol," he continues.
Still, you should consume it regularly, but not excessively. "Drinking excessive amounts of caffeinated tea can cause side effects such as headaches, insomnia, irritability, dizziness and anxiety," he explains.
