China has made "commitments" "not to sell" arms to Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday welcomed "commitments" made by China to "not sell" weapons to Russia.
The position was shared at a joint press conference in Paris with President Xi Jinping.
Macron began by speaking about the war in Ukraine, a "conflict that has structural consequences for the international order" and added that both countries want to "preserve the United Nations Charter"
According to the French president, who said he "respects" the "long-standing ties between China and Russia", his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, reiterated that the country "does not sell weapons to Russia".
Macron also welcomed the "willingness" of his Chinese counterpart to "ask all parties involved" in the various conflicts to "declare an Olympic truce" during the Paris Games this summer.
It is recalled that Xi Jinping began his first visit to Europe since the Covid-19 pandemic in France today, which also includes Hungary and Serbia, two countries considered close to China and Russia.
