Cat falls into drainage pipe in Barreiro. It was rescued more than 24 hours later

A baby cat was rescued on Tuesday after falling into a rainwater drainage pipe in a shopping center in Barreiro.
In a post on the social network Facebook, IRA - Intervention and Animal Rescue says it received the alert at 10:00 pm on Sunday. However, the "complexity of the rescue" required the mobilization of an animal ambulance and the Camarate Volunteer Firefighters.
The authorities had an indication that the pipe was 6 meters deep, but they did not know the "respective diversions and curvatures along the way".
Thus, "the presence of a plumber with an endoscopic camera was requested, and more than 14 meters of pipe were covered" without the animal being located. The operation ended around 2:00 am on Tuesday, with the presence of the Barreiro Public Security Police (PSP).
The rescue operation resumed on Tuesday morning and was successfully concluded. "Thanks to all the participants who were in his rescue today", wrote the IRA.
The 1.618 Dignidade Animal Association - which was the one who reported the situation and streamlined all the means so that this story would have a happy ending - guaranteed that the cat was taken to the hospital, where it is recovering, having only been diagnosed with conjunctivitis.
