A delegation from SINTAP met this afternoon with the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Territorial Planning, Hernâni Dias, in what was the "first approach" made to this new Government.
At the end of the meeting, in statements to the Lusa agency, the Secretary General of SINTAP, José Abraão, said that it was a "positive meeting" and that the union found "great willingness" from the Government to solve the problems of local administration workers.
"It served to understand what the Government is thinking about regarding local administration workers, namely regarding collective bargaining", pointed out the official.
The transfer of competences in the areas of Health and Education to the Municipal Councils, the allocation of the hardship and unhealthiness supplement and the new rules of the Integrated Performance Evaluation System of the Public Administration (SIADAP), which come into force from January next year, were some of the topics addressed at the meeting.
"Given the willingness to dialogue and negotiate, we hope that in the near future we can meet again with some concrete answers and policies", stressed José Abraão.
In the meantime, SINTAP has also requested a meeting at the Ministry of Finance with the Secretary of State for Public Administration, Marisa Garrido, responsible for overseeing this area.
