Elderly man kidnapped and forced to withdraw €400 in Ovar. PJ investigates
A 71-year-old man was taken by robbers in Ovar, in the district of Aveiro, to an ATM to withdraw money. The victim was found "disoriented".

An elderly man was kidnapped and robbed in the early hours of Tuesday in Ovar, in the district of Aveiro.
According to a source from the Territorial Post of Aveiro of the National Republican Guard (GNR) explained to Notícias ao Minuto the man, 71, was leaving a supermarket in the parish of Esmoriz when he was approached by two assailants.
Under the threat of a firearm, they took the elderly man to the Furadouro area, which is almost 17 kilometers away, where they forced him to withdraw 400 euros.
According to the GNR source, the alert for the situation was given around 5:30 am, when two fishermen passing by a road in the parish of São Jacinto found the man, "a little disoriented".
According to the same source, it is not known whether the man managed to escape from the assailants or if he was left at the scene, and the case is now in the hands of the Judicial Police (PJ).
The GNR also explains that the Murtosa Firefighters were called and observed the victim at the scene.
