Marcelo? “We do not have any comment on this at this moment”

The parliamentary leader of the Socialist Party (PS), Alexandra Leitão, refused to comment on the statements by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa about António Costa, who considered him "slow for being oriental".
"We have no comment to make on this at this time", was how Alexandra Leitão spoke out about the controversy.
In the meantime, the socialist parliamentary leader commented on the general approval of the PS, BE and PCP proposals on IRS, ensuring that the party "will hold the broadest possible debate on the specialty" to reach possible understandings.
"There is one thing we will not give in to. The tax system must be progressive, it must be socially just and it must be equitable. When there is an unequal tax cut that benefits 10% of families, those with the highest incomes, these principles of progressivity and equity are not being met. And we will not make anything that puts these principles at risk viable", declared Alexandra Leitão in statements to journalists.
It should be noted that the parliament today approved in general the proposals of the PS, BE and PCP on IRS and the requests for the Government's, Chega's and IL's proposal to be reduced to the specialty without a vote.
Of the various proposals that contemplate changes in the IRS presented by the various opposition parties and that were today debated and subject to a general vote, only those subscribed by Livre and PAN were rejected.
