Special paintwork. With this car, BMW is going to the 24 Hours of Le Mans

It's true art on wheels. BMW presented this Tuesday the car with which it will participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024. With a special paint job, made by contemporary artist Julie Mehretu, an American born in Ethiopia, the BMW M Hybrid V8, promises to turn heads in the most famous race on the planet.
In addition to competing in Le Mans, and being part of the BMW Art Car collection, this collaboration between the German brand and Julie Mehretu also includes a joint commitment to a series of workshops for young filmmakers, which will travel to several African cities between 2025 and 2026.
"BMW Art Cars are an essential part of our global cultural commitment. For almost 50 years, we have been collaborating with artists who are as fascinated by mobility and design as they are by technology and motorsports. Julie Mehretu's vision for a race car is an extraordinarily strong contribution to our BMW Art Car collection," said Oliver Zipse, CEO of the BMW Group.
Check out the images of the BMW M Hybrid V8, which you will be able to see on the Le Sarthe circuit on June 15, the day the 2024 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans begins.
