In April last year, German magazine Die Aktuelle decided to share an interview with Michael Schumacher whose answers were not given by the former Formula 1 driver, but by a program using Artificial Intelligence. The Schumacher family decided to take the pink magazine to court and it is now known that they won the case.
A family spokesman confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday that the Munich court's decision was in favor of the Schumacher family and that they had reached an agreement with the Funke group, responsible for publishing the magazine Die Aktuelle.
According to Reuters, the family of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion will have been compensated 200,000 euros for the damages caused by the magazine.
Michael Schumacher's state of health remains unknown, as the family has preserved, at all costs, his privacy. The only more concrete statement came from the former Ferrari driver's wife in the documentary about his life and career, available on the Netflix platform.
"Of course I miss Michael every day, but it's not just me. The children, the family, his father, everyone who was close to him. We all miss him, but Michael is here. In a different way, but he's here and that gives us strength to keep going," Corinna said in the documentary.
