Rugani caught driving with blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit

Daniele Rugani will have to answer in court for a case dating back to the night of July 21, 2023, when he was caught driving with a blood alcohol level three times higher than the legal limit in Italy.
According to information provided this Friday by the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the first test the Juventus player underwent showed a rate of 1.56 g/l, and the second of 1.54 g/l, so the authorities withdrew his driving license and filed a criminal case.
The Italian international was also ordered to pay a fine of 5,000 euros, which he refused to pay, so Judge Roberto Ruscello informed his lawyers that he would schedule a hearing for next May 23.
In the meantime, the 29-year-old central defender has reportedly filed an appeal to serve his sentence with community service, which was rejected because it was filed after the deadline, so he will have no choice but to answer for what happened.
