In a match on the fourth round of Group F, played in Asunción, the team from São Paulo secured the victory with goals from Yuri Alberto, at 75 minutes, and Matheus França, at 90+6, after Caballero Feytas was sent off in the home team.

"You can't always play well. More important than the performance is to win. We played a great match against Fortaleza and didn't win. Today [Tuesday] we didn't play as well and we won, we achieved our goal," said the Portuguese coach at the end.

The triumph leaves the Brazilians in second place, with access to the play-off for the round of 16, with seven points, one behind the leader Racing Montevideu, and one more than Argentinos Juniors, while Nacional remains in last place, with one point.
