Klopp backs VAR being scrapped: "They don't use it properly"

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he would vote to scrap VAR after Wolves called for a vote among Premier League clubs on whether to use the technology next season. "I don't think the club will vote to get rid of VAR. I think they will vote for the right use of VAR because it's definitely not right at the moment. The way they use it, I would vote to get rid of it, because these people are not ready to do the job," he said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Aston Villa vs. Liverpool. "I don't think VAR is the problem, it's the way we use it. So obviously you cannot change the people. You need them. So yes, I would vote to get rid of it," he added, as quoted by the BBC Sports. Liverpool are understood to be against ending the use of the technology in the English top flight, which would require a vote in favour from at least two-thirds of clubs.
