Vladimir Smicer advises Liverpool not to stand in the way of the Egypt international's exit

Former Czech Republic international Vladimir Smicer has urged his former club Liverpool not to stand in the way of Mohamed Salah should the player continue to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
"It is a very difficult situation with Mohamed Salah, he may be getting older but he is still Liverpool's best player, scoring goals and breaking records," said the former midfielder, who also played for Lens, Bordeaux and Slavia Prague during his career.
"Of course, a new manager [Arne Slot] is coming in and it will be a difficult decision, but he deserves a lot of respect for what he has done for Liverpool. I would let him decide what he wants to do this summer. Never push anyone out of Anfield," he continued, speaking to OLBG.
"He has one more year on his contract, so it is a case of seeing what his plans are. Physically, it looks like he can play for another three or four years. Look at [Cristiano] Ronaldo, he is still playing at 39 and has not lost his legs. Salah could do the same," he added.
