Daniel Sousa highlights Rio Ave's return and reinforces the goal of sixth place
"Arouca coach Daniel Sousa highlighted today Rio Ave's good campaign in the second half of the I Liga football, anticipating difficulties facing Vila-Condense, and reinforced the intention of reaching the sixth place.

In the preview of the match that opens the 30th round, the coach highlighted the "good dynamics" of the opponent, who has one win and six draws in the last seven games, and the 15 points he has already won in the second half - as many as he had managed in the entire first round.
"It shows what this Rio Ave has been in the second round. It is certainly one of the teams with an excellent second half, with a very interesting number of points in this second round. And that's where the difficulties we will encounter in this game come from. It is a team that is well worked, with many routines that come from behind", he said, at a press conference.
Regarding the prospect of reaching sixth place, after a round in which the victory against Boavista (2-1) allowed Moreirense to equal in terms of points (43), Daniel Sousa highlighted the importance of conquering the position.
"We are talking about a position in the table that is always important. At the start, it will not be enough for European competitions, but it is enough for something important, direct access to the League Cup", he recalled.
Even so, he did not fail to mention the fact that the goal does not depend exclusively on the Arouquense team, which loses in the direct confrontation with the Moreira de Cónegos team, but stressed the importance of continuing on the path of good results, whether or not the position is achieved.
"It does not depend only on us, because, in case of a tie, Moreirense will always be ahead. Sixth place is the goal, at the moment, but let's not forget that we also want stability in the table. And, in order to have this stability, we have to continue to win games", he reiterated.
Regarding the excellent series of results of the 'wolves' - there are already three consecutive victories -, the coach chose to devalue, in order to avoid "dazzlement".
"We cannot value this series of three wins in three games, because there were times when these wins did not appear and we also did not want to make an impact. Why? Because we knew that the process was on the right track. In the same way that we do not have to give this impact now so that there is no dazzle", he warned.
Right-back Tiago Esgaio, due to injury, is the only confirmed absence from Daniel Sousa's squad.
Arouca, seventh classified, with 43 points, travels to Vila do Conde to face Rio Ave, 11th, with 30, starting at 8:15 pm on Friday, with refereeing by Bruno Vieira, from the Lisbon Football Association.
