The first finalist of this year's edition of the Champions League will be decided this Tuesday. PSG and Borussia Dortmund face off in the second leg of the semi-finals of the competition, after the Germans' victory last week.
Despite the negative result brought from the first leg, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, was confident in the arrival of the Paris club to the second final of the millionaire competition in its history, after the loss in 2020 to Bayern.
"The players are focused, confident, but not overconfident. Overconfidence is not good. It's the Champions League, a semi-final, you can't be overconfident. We can't forget that this is a very young team, the youngest in the Champions League semi-finals. We built something for the future, not everything is tomorrow, and I'm proud of that. I know that in a Champions League semi-final it's a matter of details. Every detail is important", began by saying Nasser Al-Khelaifi, quoted by the Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Qatari leader also highlighted the intense support that his team has received from the fans throughout this season.
"We are very happy to play in front of our fans, who will be our 12th player. If it were up to me, tomorrow [today] I would remove all the chairs from the Parc des Princes to create an exceptional atmosphere. It is also important to emphasize everything the team has done to get here. It is also thanks to the fact that the fans are now satisfied with the team. Everyone did an excellent job. We will represent PSG, Paris, France and all our fans around the world", he concluded.
