Norwich player arrested after drink-driving crash

British broadcaster BBC reported on Thursday that Norwich City centre-back Shane Duffy was arrested on Monday for drink-driving.
The incident happened in Hethersett, a district of Norfolk, near Norwich. The Republic of Ireland international was involved in a car accident while under the influence of alcohol.
"Police were called at 9:05pm on Monday 6 May following reports of a two-vehicle collision. Emergency services attended and a man in his 30s [Duffy is 32] was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning," a Norfolk police spokesperson told the BBC.
There were no injuries as a result of the crash, but Championship side Norwich said they were "aware of an incident involving one of our first-team players". The Canaries added that the matter was being "dealt with internally" under the club's "disciplinary code".
Duffy, 32, has made 38 appearances for Norwich this season.
