OFFICIAL: Sá Pinto leaves APOEL two days after becoming champion
Cypriot club announced the departure of the Portuguese coach.

APOEL announced this Monday the departure of Ricardo Sá Pinto from the technical command, just two days after being crowned Cypriot champion. The Portuguese coach will leave Cyprus at the end of May.
"The 2023-2024 season was extremely competitive and with many difficulties. In the end, however, APOEL, under the guidance of Ricardo Sá Pinto, managed to achieve the team's main goal and be crowned champion for the 29th time in its history, after a period of five years away from the titles", can be read in the statement from APOEL, continuing.
"There was a lot of weight and pressure due to this drought, but with a lot of effort, each one in their position, with the responsibility that was attributed to them, we reached the desired goal. President Prodromos Petridis and the Board of Directors of APOEL FOOTBALL wish to thank especially our coach, Ricardo Sá Pinto, for his contribution to this great success. Our connection ends at the end of the month, but his name will continue to be highlighted as the coach who managed to take the team back to the championship medals", concluded the Cypriot club.
