CTT launch next generation post boxes (see images)
CTT says that this is an "innovative project that transforms post offices into authentic 24-hour self-service stores".

CTT – Correios de Portugal announced this Thursday that they are launching new generation postboxes, "an innovative project that transforms postboxes into authentic self-service stores available 24 hours a day".
In a statement, CTT explains that "these structures, which will gradually replace some of the 'special postboxes' that already exist in the country's main cities, will allow you to receive and send parcels in the Locky locker, buy postal products through a vending machine and, of course, will continue to allow you to post mail in the postal receptacle, while communicating, on the two LED screens, the latest news from the CTT universe".
This solution "is further proof of CTT's modernisation capacity, creating innovative and differentiating solutions for greater convenience for all those who use not only postal services, but increasingly express and parcel services", says CTT.
"The first new generation postbox is installed in Rua Braamcamp, in Lisbon, and the gradual implementation of this solution is planned in the main cities of the country, reinforcing CTT's proximity to the population and the points of contact between the company and its customers", it can be read.
