Digi's entry will have "a creative reaction" and competitive operators
The president of the National Communications Authority (Anacom) said today that the entry of the operator Digi in Portugal will lead to "a creative and healthily competitive reaction" from electronic communications operators.

Sandra Maximiano was speaking at the 33rd APDC Congress, which has the motto "40 year Futurizing" and which today highlighted Artificial Intelligence (AI).
"The dynamics of the Portuguese electronic communications market in recent years have shown that there is a high-quality service offering", said the official.
However, "there is a prevalence of increasingly homogeneous package offers, leading to a perception of lack of competition in the sector, which also justifies the lack of consumer mobility even after the loyalty period", she added.
Digi is one of the new entrants, as it has a 5G license.
