Criticism of Meghan? 'We don't accept nudity,' says Nigerian first lady
Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, has urged Nigerian women not to allow themselves to be influenced by American culture.

Meghan Markle has been targeted by Nigeria’s first lady over her recent wardrobe choices during a visit to the country.
The Duchess of Sussex spent three days in Nigeria this month alongside her husband Prince Harry, and her choice of outfits has not impressed Oluremi Tinubu.
"The message here is that we have to save our children. We see the way they dress [out there]. They forget that in Nigeria we are beautiful. We can see what they display on stage and I say, ‘we know fashion, we can see what is going on’.
We don’t have Met Gala. Nudity, it is everywhere and the men are well-dressed. We have to do something. Let us say no to nudity in our culture. It is not our culture.
We are all beautiful women, but we should be confident in ourselves. We don’t have to copy the American stars. We don’t know where they are coming from. Why did Meghan come looking for Africa? That is what we have to look at. We know who we are. Don’t lose your identity,” she added.
