Teen who vandalized World War I memorial reported by father

A young pro-Palestinian demonstrator has been arrested for vandalizing a World War I memorial in New York City’s Central Park. The teen was turned in by his own father.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and making graffiti for defacing the 107th Infantry Memorial during a demonstration Monday night.
The teen, who is a regular at demonstrations organized by the anti-Israel group Within Our Lifetime, was taken into custody by police Thursday night after his father reported him, the NY Post reported.
“The despicable vandalism we saw earlier this week on the WWI Memorial will not be ignored, and will not go unpunished,” the NYPD said in a statement.
