PSP identifies coach after alleged attempted assault on referee
It happened on Saturday, in Caldas da Rainha.

The Public Security Police (PSP) identified last Saturday, during a youth football match between the teams of the Coto Recreation and Cultural Association and the Turquel Sports Union, at the Luís Duarte Field, Caldas da Rainha, a 54-year-old coach for allegedly attempting to assault the referee of the match.
"At 5:05 pm, when the football match was still taking place, the referee expelled the coach of one of the participating teams, which resulted in some confusion to which several athletes rushed and quickly calmed down, and he left the playing area", reveals the PSP, in a statement, this Monday.
Later, at the end of the sporting event, "the main referee informed the commander of the police that he had been the target of an attempted assault by that sports participant".
Thus, "the suspects were identified and a file was prepared to be sent to the competent authorities".
The PSP "appeals for respect for the most basic rules of sportsmanship and 'fairplay', so that the sporting event is in fact a moment of leisure, pleasant, and fun for all".
