Social network X will change the way the block button works
The platform's leader, Elon Musk, has always been against the feature.

Elon Musk has long been known to be no fan of the ability to block other users on social media platform X , but rather than removing the button entirely, the platform will be making changes to how it works.
An official X page on the social media site explains that going forward, someone who has been blocked by another user will be able to see interactions that person has made on their posts – something that was previously not the case.
“These efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to align the blocking feature with our principles of having a public square. Our aim is to empower users to control their experience while also maintaining the public visibility of their posts”, the post reads.
