After launching fans/purifiers and vacuum cleaners, Dyson has now announced its first mop designed specifically for wet floors. It's called the Dyson WashG1 and, as the brand puts it, this product combines “hydration, absorption and extraction technologies to remove both wet and dry residue”.

As Dyson explains in a statement, the WashG1 is equipped with rollers made of absorbent microfiber filaments and a 1-liter capacity tank, and a single charge can cover floors up to 290m2. The WashG1 is designed to handle all types of stains and residues on floors, whether wet or dry.

“Wet cleaning is a task considered necessary globally, and the burden of doing so has been addressed by a range of floor-washing vacuums. However, user expectations are often compromised when it comes to stain removal, pick-up performance and the finish of the floor”, says Charlie Park, Dyson's Vice President of Floorcare. “Dyson engineers solve the problems that others ignore and we rose to the challenge of creating the best technology. The Dyson WashG1 is the result; our first wet machine to clean sealed floors properly and hygienically”.

The Dyson WashG1 will be available in the brand's stores (both physical and online) from May. The price is 699 euros.
