Jorge Jesus' adventure in the Asian Champions League is over. Al Hilal beat Al Ain, on Tuesday afternoon, by 2-1, but the result was not enough for the Saudi team to reach the final of the competition as they lost by 5-4 in this tie. After losing 4-2 last week in the first leg in the United Arab Emirates, the team from Riyadh knew they had to score at least two goals to tie the tie. And the match started with a smile for the Portuguese duo from Al Hilal. Right at the four-minute mark, the referee of the match indicated that there was a foul inside Al Ain's area. Called to convert, Rúben Neves scored and left Jorge Jesus sighing with relief in the tie. However, the smiles did not last long. The visitors reacted quickly and regained a two-goal advantage in this semi-final thanks to Erik's accurate shot at 12'. And Al Ain could have even scored another, but the referee of the match overturned a penalty he had awarded just before half-time. But Al Ain did not give up and went in search of a new goal that would end the match and even had two accurate shots disallowed. Falah Waleed, at 73 minutes, and Rahimi once again defeated Bono, but the two goals ended up being disallowed. Al Hilal also tried to score the third goal that would take the match to extra time, but they were unable to celebrate again and ended up losing 5-4 in the tie.
