The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks moved into outright leadership of the National Rugby League with a comprehensive 40-0 victory over the Canberra Raiders on Sunday.

Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks captain Cameron McInnes was one of the main protagonists in a spiteful encounter and it showed when he fronted the FOX League cameras for a quick post-match interview.

"Sorry about the way I look boys. I normally look a lot better than this," he said with a laugh before host Bryan Fletcher asked how many stitches he needed after the spiteful contest.

"I'm not sure. I've had between five and nine and I think I need a few more. It's going well," he said, before Fletcher compared him to 'Child's Play' doll Chucky.
