Kai Havertz compared to Roberto Firmino: "It was funny. Finally..."

Signed from Chelsea less than a year ago for €75 million, Kai Havertz is finally starting to show the potential that has always been there, with three goals and an assist in Arsenal's last three games.
Speaking on Saturday, on the eve of Arsenal's much-anticipated clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher was full of praise for the Germany international, even going as far as to credit him as one of the main reasons for the Gunners' improvement.
"I think Arsenal are as good as any team in Europe defensively at the moment, probably the world, and they make it so difficult for teams. They have improved massively in 2024 and one of the reasons for that is the role of Kai Havertz," he said.
"He was a bit of a laughing stock at the start of the season. We are now seeing what he is as a forward. I am not saying he is going to be an unbelievable goalscorer because he is not," he added, speaking on Sky Sports.
"When I think of great Premier League forwards who weren't great goalscorers, the one that comes to mind is [Roberto] Firmino at Liverpool and the work he does off the ball," the pundit concluded.
