Portugal will think "game by game" in the European Under-17
The Portuguese U-17 football team will participate in the European Championship in the category, from 20 May to 05 June, in Cyprus, with the mentality of "game by game", said defender Edgar Mota today.

"Let's face this European Championship always with a match-by-match mindset, but promising to always give our best", said the youngster, quoted by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
The U-17 team is training at the Football City, in Oeiras, Lisbon district, until Friday, still with an extended group that will be reduced to 20 players on Thursday, all of them "excited" and "united in the competition".
"We know that we have very difficult matches ahead. We are in a group with a lot of quality, but we also have quality, the opponents do not scare us", he admitted.
The team, by the way, won the competition in 2003 and 2016, and this year has a difficult mission in Group D, with France, Spain and England, opening the tournament against the Spanish (May 21), followed by the English (24) and the French (27).
The top two teams from each 'poule' qualify for the quarter-finals of the European Championship.
