Famalicão will finish the 2023/24 edition of the League in eighth place, regardless of the result in this last game but, even so, Armando Evangelista aims to "leave a good taste in the mouth for next season".

"In terms of classification, this game is worth three points. For what our purposes are, it is worth much more. This game is part of the championship, so we will face it seriously and with a desire to end with a show for our members. There are other minor goals, but which, for me, are worth a lot, such as not wanting to concede goals, so that this is Famalicão's season with the fewest goals conceded, getting the best winning streak, in addition to wanting to give visibility to our players. We want to keep the squad motivated and create the habit of wanting to win", he said.

The coach of the Famalicão team, who was speaking at a press conference, said that he will not make major changes for the match with Casa Pia, but he said that the preparation was done in a "different" way.

"I have to put the club's goals ahead of my own. The most important thing to highlight is the evolution that has taken place at the club. When I joined, we were five points from the waterline and my first game was in Barcelos, on equal points with Gil Vicente. Today, we have 14 more points, half of what we had. This sums up how the entire club structure has accepted our ideas", he stressed.

Armando Evangelista's contract with Famalicão ends at the end of May and only then will he talk to the club's SAD president, Miguel Ribeiro, for both of them to decide on the future.

"We will sit down and take stock. If you look at the role of the coach, today he is a beast and tomorrow he is a beast. It is difficult to have stability, but I have to accept it and try to give my best. Wherever I go, I give myself body and soul. Each club has its own merits and the demands that I can place, or the management on me, will be different from those of other larger clubs", he also stressed.

Famalicão, eighth in the table, will host Casa Pia on Friday, at 6:45 pm, in 12th place, with 35, in a game on the 34th and final round of the Portuguese I League of football, which will be refereed by Bruno Vieira, from the Lisbon Football Association.
