"Title shows that Sporting is still a giant team”
The Portuguese international also praised his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cédric Soares, who left Arsenal at the end of last season, was the latest interviewee of Pedro Pinto on the podcast 1 PARA 1. The Portuguese international addressed the future and guarantees that he is looking for the ideal project after nine years in English football.
"I'm going to analyze it. I'm going to see where the best solution is for me to continue my journey. Right now I'm very focused on my career, I want to continue playing for a few more years. I feel very good, I'm 32 years old. So my goal now is to find the right team, where I can continue to take the right steps and that can be competitive", stressed Cédric Soares.
The Portuguese defender assumed the admiration he has for his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, considering him the best player he has shared a dressing room with.
"I often talk to the players on my team and say: 'Study Cristiano. He is the best player you can see attacking the area.' He goes before the cross. He doesn't wait for the cross to start running. He starts before. His timing is fantastic. I don't know if he studies it, if it's intuitive. But he does it very well", praised the Portuguese international.
European champion in 2016, Cédric Soares does not remove Portugal from the list of candidates to win Euro'2024.
"I would say that we probably have one of the best individual squads. I would say that we are in the top-3. And we have an advantage: we are a little bit 'underrated'. We have a little less 'hype' and I like that. That's how we went to Euro 2016", he highlighted.
Cédric Soares did not fail to mention the season that Sporting had, confessing that the national championship title achieved by the Lions was very important.
"Sporting had an excellent championship. I think they were the fair winners and deserved it. I think it was very important for a club like Sporting to achieve this second title in such a short time. It ends up consolidating and showing that it continues to be a giant team", he concluded.
