Need to (re)organize your home? Not sure where to start? Avoid buying storage containers and other bins right off the bat before you have a plan of action, advises Nicole Gabai, founder of B. Organized, as quoted on Martha Stewart’s website.
With that in mind, she explains that “the smartest way to shop for bins is to first determine exactly what you’re storing and how you’ll be accessing or retrieving those items.”
Only after you have a structured plan and you know what you have (or don’t have) in your home “should you go looking for something that will fit your needs,” the organizing expert adds.
